Of course I am all about the creative theory of recovery (http://www.spiritualriver.com/start-here-the-creative-theory-of-recovery-explained/), and I am just wondering what everyone is creating in their lives lately.

I have 2 exciting events:

1) UPDATE: Ran in this race (http://thekalamazoomarathon.com/) on Mother's day.

This is me and my dad in the fun run before the actual day of the marathon:

And this is me about 2 minutes before crossing the finish line of the marathon (I am over on the left in the yellow shirt). Took me 4 hours and 28 minutes, a bit better than my first race:

2) Took a good friend to go buy a puppy on Saturday.

I will come back and post pics and possibly video of both "creations."

Sure, it's just "stuff" I'm doing....but I would not experience either thing if I were still drinking and drugging....

What are y'all creating in your lives today?

Congratulations on running and finishing the marathon! Way to go! Would you do it again?

That is just about the cutest puppy I've ever seen. Maybe I should get one. Lowers the blood pressure, they say, to have a pet.

That is the darn cutest puppy! If I wasn't already overwhelmed with 3 dogs, a cat, 2 kids, and my addiction....

It's great to be doing something - my last two attempts at staying sober failed I"m sure mainly due to lack of action.

This time I"m doing some travelling and will be starting an on-line college course soon - gotta do something to replace the drinking routine for sure.

I feel much more confident of achieving my first year sober this time around.
