“The only thing that matters is what you do next, what you did before is irrelevant” this is the only reason that I could look at my past, apologize and just ‘move on’. Otherwise I think that the mistakes of my past would have destroyed me in the long run.

Why give up everything for one thing, when you could give up one thing and have everything?
I think I said it right

This could have been my autobiography. I think I'm on about Chapter 4.

    Autobiography In Five Short Chapters
    By Portia Nelson

    Chapter I:
    I walk down the street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I fall in.
I am lost... I am hopeless.
    It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.

    Chapter II:
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I pretend I don't see it.
    I fall in again.
I can't believe I am in this same place.
    But it isn't my fault.
It still takes a long time to get out.

    Chapter III:
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I see it there.
I still fall in... it's a habit... but,
    my eyes are open.
    I know where I am.
    It is my fault.
    I get out immediately.

    Chapter IV:
I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
    I walk around it.

    Chapter V:
    I walk down another street.

Top 10 Principles to a Powerful Life
By Dr. Wayne W. Dyer (who passed away Sunday, the day before I FINALLY picked up one of his books)

    1. Have a mind that is open to everything and attached to nothing.
    2. You can't give away what you don't have.
    3. There are no justified resentments.
    4. Don't die with your music still in you.
    5. Embrace silence.
    6. Give up your personal history.
    7. You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it.
    8. Treat yourself as if you already are what you'd like to be.
    9. Treasure your divinity.
    10. Wisdom is avoiding all thoughts which weaken you.

Hi Erin, it's nice to hear from you!

Good principles to live by. Today I especially resonate with "don't die with your music still in you"

As I get ready to go in vacation, some health issues have hit with both my mom and hubby that I'm dealing with. Hubby and I are still leaving tomorrow and expect to have a wonderful, restful time. My friend said to me today "It's the storm before the calm". That's perfect for where I am right now. And I'll make some music while I'm gone too!

Hello everyone. The following quotes and affirmations are from someone's signature in a health forum I was reading and thought they might speak to you like they did to me. I'm still around, mostly read only, but thought these were worth sharing. Take care and be kind to yourself, you're worth it.
